Ludgershall Christmas Shoot

What a great turnout this morning for the Christmas shoot. Five stands with a total of 40 clays, followed by a four-person flurry. The day was dry, with a light breeze which made us a little cold. After the shoot we ate at the Village Hall where the prizes were awarded. Thank you again, Brian and Dawn, with your team for setting up such a good shoot and flurry.

The 40 clay shoot was won by Tod, 38/40, high lady Jennifer and high junior was Harry.

League Shoot update

It was decided by the members at the AGM we would leave the league.  Anyone wishing to continue to shoot the league is invited to join the White lion. Alternatively, I’m sure any of the other clubs would welcome you. If you wish to contact the White Lion you can speak to either Paul Joblin or Dave Reeve.

The final was held at Atkin Grant & Lang over in St Albans. A number of teams did not field eight shooters, including Kingswood. This was possibly because of the distance. We must congratulate Mark C fo his fifth position overall. Kingswood managed a fifth position in the final and sixth overall.

Akeley League shoot 11th November 2018

The league shoot was held at Akeley on a dry day despite the rain on Sunday. What a difference from The Kingswood leg a month before where we set up in the dry and then had to contend with the Sunday rain. So if you missed the clays, see where you should have been aiming. Practice Shoot at Doddershall 9th October

We had a superb attendance today and the weather was very kind to us. Some excellent shooting and we welcomed two new members in Joanna and George P(new junior). Also a guest in James C.

The shoot this Sunday was without the aid of DB Guns traps, so we could only shoot three stands at a time.  During the T break the stands were rejigged and we continued with shoot with three new targets.
